Twitter for Instagram

A tweet and an Instagram post assume different things about the reader. Twitter rewards text and speed; Instagram is a visual platform where a plain screenshot of a tweet—cropped edges, wrong aspect ratio, browser chrome included—reads as an afterthought. Adapting the content properly instead of just screenshotting it is what makes the difference.

Why bother adapting it at all

Most Instagram followers don't also follow the same accounts on X, so reposting a tweet is often genuinely new content for them, not a repeat. And formatted well, it reads as intentional rather than lazy.

How to do it

1. Open moqop.com/app/twitter-to-instagram and paste the tweet's URL
2. Choose Story (9:16) or Square (1:1)
3. Set the theme (light or dark) and choose whether to show engagement stats and the profile photo
4. Generate the image
5. Post it with your own caption adding context

What's worth reposting

Industry insight, breaking news, how-to threads, and genuinely popular tweets tend to translate best—content with enough substance that it holds up outside the fast-scroll context of Twitter.

Doing it well

Always credit the original author, and add your own perspective rather than reposting bare—the caption is where you add value the screenshot alone doesn't.
