A tweet reformatted for Instagram's feed and one reformatted for Stories aren't quite the same job—Stories are vertical, viewed briefly, and disappear in 24 hours, which changes what's worth putting in one.
Why Stories specifically
They're built for mobile, they're ephemeral (good for timely content that doesn't need to stay up), and they tend to get more views than a feed post from the same account—all of which makes them a good fit for a tweet that's relevant right now but won't be in a week.
How to do it
- Open moqop.com/app/twitter-to-instagram and paste the tweet's URL
- Choose Story format (9:16)
- Pick a theme—light or dark—and keep the layout minimal so it reads instantly on mobile
- Choose whether to show the author's profile, engagement stats, and a timestamp
- Generate and post, adding your own caption or a poll/question sticker on top
What's worth putting in a Story
Breaking news and real-time updates, educational threads worth a quick read, and genuinely viral content all suit the format—the common thread is that it's timely enough that a Story's short lifespan doesn't cost you anything.
Doing it well
Credit the original author, add context for why you're sharing it, and use Instagram's native Story features—polls, question stickers—to turn a repost into something people actually interact with rather than just view.
